All right. Well, I'm done with Bangkok for now. This evening, I'm heading south for white sands and scuba diving. My first stop is an island in the Gulf of Thailand called Ko Tao. Population: 750...which is a little more than twice the size of good ol' Binsen Inlet, Ontario.

I attempted twice to see a Muay Thai bout, but failed miserably both times. The taxi drivers here don't seem to know where the major staduim is. Either that or they know I'm a clueless tourist and are maliciously playing what happens if I do this? with me. Whatever the case, it sucks ass for me. Both times, I spent hours wandering around the area, asking people where Lumphini stadium is. I can see it on the map, but not on the street. What the fuck? I ask three different people, I get three different answers. Which is ok because I can't understand their answers anyway. I wonder if they can understand my question.

I've been giving the Thai language a go, but it's harder than wet cat in a snowstorm. The different inflections and intonations give the words different meanings. I was listening to some Thai music in a store the other day and it sounded like the lady was singing the same words over and over again.

Maybe I should stay away from the language and rely on charades, which I mastered in Japan.

Ok, well, time to look the post office. I know they have one around here somewhere, it's right there on the map. Easy.
