Montreal, Canada

Believe it or not, I'd never been to Montreal before. I'd heard so many great things about the city, but the opportunity to go never came up. Believe it or not, I'd also never been on a road trip.

Visions of jazz in the air, French wine and outdoor patios filled my head...though none of this would come to pass. The group I went up with was composed of two different circles of friends who didn't really know each other. Sometimes strangers get along right from the get-go, a lot of times, however, they don't.

But hey, with my winning personality and general benevolence for humankind, mediating, nothing could go wrong, right? Right?
