November 8th. Brian beats his futon.

On sunny days, it's a good idea to air out your futon on the balcony or porch of your dwelling. This is because futons lie on the ground (as opposed to real beds, where the matress is elevated) and pick up moisture. If this goes on too long, it will get moldy. Mold is not good for you. Ok, some molds are good for you, but not the kind you grow in your futon. Airing them out gets rid of the moisture and that's that. Futons also get dusty, so beating them is good too. You can knock out some of the dust by beating it manually or with a special beater that you can buy at stores here. I prefer to do it manually. To the left is a drawing of a guy beating his futon.
