February 25th, 2002. Waking up the neighbours with Ella and Louis.

I feel good today for no particular reason at all...which, of course, is the best reason for feeling good.

I woke up early this morning, called my mother and ate strawberries for breakfast. Took some shots around my room to kill time before work. Here you go.

As I was walking to the station to go to work, I ran into Murray on the street. He was tossing bits of bread into the river to feed the ducks. That sparked a flood of scenes and songs from Mary Poppins in my head:

"In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.
Find that fun and snap, the job's a game..."

"Because I was afraid to speak when I was just a lad,
My father gave my nose a tweak and told me I was bad.
One day I learned a word to save my aching nose,
The biggest word you ever heard and this is how it goes:
Ooooh - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious..."

"Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height..."

"I love to laugh, loud and long and clear."

"Did you hear about the man with a wooden leg called Smith? What was the name of his other leg?"

"...and every task you undertake,
Becomes a piece of cake.
A lark, a spree, it's very clear to see,
That a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down..."

"Don't you love us Mary Poppins?"

"And what would happen to me if I loved all the children I met?"

"Feed the birds, toppins a bag. Toppins, toppins..."

"You know what you get when you feed the birds? FAT BIRDS!"

You know, I could swear that the bird lady in Mary Poppins was also in Home Alone 2.
