December 4th, 2001. Brian takes a stroll. Part II.

So, I had a good day today. Work was easy, as there weren't any students signed up for lessons. I think I taught three students in total today, and I just spend the rest of the time making Christmas decorations. I haven't made a paper snowflake since I was in kindergarten (which was almost two decades ago!), so needless to say, my first attempts at it were pretty bad. I took some pics with my phonecam. You can see my gradual progression as I finally started to remember how to make a proper snowflake.

I love these things. It's not really cheese cake like we have back home. It's more like those sponge cakes you can get at Chinese bakeries, but it has a slightly sweet cheese glaze on the top.

I have been craving one all day, but the store near work was sold out. A co-worker bought the last one. Satisfied, I moved on.

Welcome to Don Quixote. You don't know the meaning of one-stop shopping until you have visited this place. It looks really small, but it's huge inside. For those of you who are old enough to remember Dr. Who, this is similar to that telephone booth thing he would go into all the time. It was a regular-sized phone booth on the outside, but was the size of an entire house inside. Click here to see a short video clip.

The following are some random photos I took. Admittedly, the quality isn't great, but that is because I had to sneak shots, as I don't think that you are supposed to take pictures in the store. Just look at the variety of stuff they sell. This isn't even the entire store.

I have no idea what this is or why anyone in their right mind would even want it. But it is right near the air soft replica gun section, so that might explain it.
