April 4th, 2002. My God, it's April.

Time flies. I can't believe that it's April already. It seems like it was only yesterday, when I was sitting in my room, wondering how the hell I was going to make it through February. I hate February. It's the armpit of the year really. I think that's why they made it the short month. Otherwise, there'd be a huge increase in crime and suicide. The environment would get worse too. I don't know why, but it just would.

Went to the post office to pay my rent and enjoy the sun a little. On the way back, I came across a stray that started to follow me as I walked. It was admittedly something that I thought only happened on Leave it to Beaver - glad to see that the Cleavers portrayed life accurately.

So, as I was strolling to the station with Beast (so I dubbed the dog) at my side, we came across an old man with a wimpy-ass poodle. The little poodle started to growl at Beast. Beast ran straight up to it and the owner of Wimpy Poodle picked up his dog and said "Gomen (Sorry)" and something else in Japanese. I didn't know how to tell him Beast wasn't my dog, so I just kept on walking. I looked back when I reached the top of the hill, behind the gym, and Wimpy Poodle was still trying to fend off Beast. The old man glared at me.

Saw this building while walking to Ebisu from Shibuya. I have no clue what it was, but my guess is that it's some sort of prison for Traditionalists. I bet they have the paper walls and tatami mat rooms and everything in the cells.

This is Yebisu Garden Place. I came here last time with Baseball Gina, Hawaiian Meg and M. It looks a lot nicer during the day. This place used to be a Sapporo Beer factory. In fact, that's how Ebisu got its name (according to BB Gina). Yebisu (now evolved to Ebisu) was the name of a product line that the Sapporo beer company made here. Isn't that funny? It's like naming a city Kit Kat.

Garden Place is a great place for people to have lunch. It's clean, and has plenty of seating. Looks a lot like the financial district back home.

This is what I tried to take a photo of last time I was here (March 20th), but it didn't turn out because it was so dark.

I like this thing hanging in the middle. It spins and sways when the wind blows. No one eats lunch beneath it.

Another shot of the square beneath the hanging thing.

Ditto.

I don't know what this building is, but it looks nice. It was really close to the photography museum and the beer museum. I went to both places today.

A man feeding the birds. I guess his mother didn't tell him that once you feed one pigeon, it invites its entire extended family and the village where he grew up to join in the free meal. I'm glad that I got this shot pre-swarm.

The photography museum doesn't allow you to take pictures inside. That seems somehow wrong to me, but whatever. It was pretty cool in there. One artist in particular, Toshio Iwai, had some kick ass exhibits.

This is the only shot I got off inside the building. It's the braille posted outside the men's washroom.

Stumbling around Shibuya again. I wonder what this place sells.

But I don't wanna be a pirate.

These puffy shirts are really popular here. Especially with women. As you walk down the street, it's like weaving through a Jolly Rogers reunion party. I was hoping to see some swashbuckling and people swinging around on ropes, with single shot pistols drawn, but no such luck.
